  • 7 of the elective units must be selected from the elective units listed below
  • 4 elective units may be selected from the elective units listed below, from this Training Package or from any current accredited course or endorsed Training Package at the same qualification level
  • if not listed below,
  • 1 elective unit may be selected from a Certificate II qualification and 2 elective units may be taken from a Certificate IV qualification.
 Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.

Delivery Strategy

Course Delivery
Students have the option:

  • to attend Face to Face Classroom or online training
  • Combination of Face to Face and online training

Qualifications can be achieved in various ways, including:

  • on -the-job training, e.g. a ending classroom-based learning programs
  • Online Training
  • recognition of prior learning
  • credit transfer.

​The course is expected to be completed in a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 12 months.

If credits apply the students will be exempt from participating in the unit’s which will impact the duration of the course.

Delivery Mode

Workplace based – includes face to face instruction, self-directed learning, reflective learning on the job and final assessment.

Assessment and Award

All units within the qualification have assessment tasks, with set due dates for completion. Each unit of competency will vary however the following methods can be used but are not limited to the below:

To be eligible for the award of the BSB30115 Certificate III in Business learners must successfully complete a total of 12 units listed in this document. Credits may apply.

 A Statement of Attainment will be issued for any unit of competency completed and deemed competent if the full qualification is not completed.

Entry into this course

There are no formal entry requirements into the Certificate III in Business.  
Baker Ebert Course Admission Requirements:
Prospective students can be:

  • 17 years old the student must provide a Transition from School form prior to undertaking this course.
  • 18 Years old or over
  • currently employed or will be employed within the business services industry on the commencement of this course.

Pre-training review:
Baker Ebert is committed to ensuring all students have access to the educational and support services they may need while studying.  We do this by carrying out a pretraining review that is integrated with the application and enrolment process.  For most courses, this review also includes a short literacy and numeracy assessment relevant to the course.  The outcomes of the pretraining review assist our teachers and trainers to better understand each student’s capabilities prior to training and enable all students to be matched to the right program for them.

Literacy and numeracy
Applicants will be required to successfully complete an ACSF language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment.  Learning, reading, writing, oral communication and numeracy (ACSF Level 3) are desirable to participate in the course.

Recognition Process

Credit Transfer
If a certificate or statement of results is produced and verified, a credit transfer process will be initiated by Baker Ebert Pty Ltd in relation to the units as per the training plan.

To be eligible for the award of the BSB30115 Certificate III in Business learners must successfully complete a total of 12 units 1 core units 11 electives.
Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised qualification will be awarded a certificate for:

A Statement of Attainment will be issued for any unit of competency deemed competent if the full qualification is not completed. Awards will be generated after successful completion of this course and full payment has been received.
